In the team category, the Colonial Road Runners open women's
team of Kris Wilson (38:46), Sherry Volk (41:15) and Lindsay Kent (42:35) had
a combined 2:02:36 to place second behind the Tidewater Striders (1:57:22),

Volk, 41, was second Masters, and Kent was first for girls 12-and-under.
The CRR was also second in the Masters women competition, as
the team of Carol Talley (44:05), Thea Ganoe (47:37) and Andrea Hess (49:27)
finished in 2:21:09, second to the Tidewater Striders (2:09:42). Talley, 47,
was second in the 45-49 division, Ganoe, 44, was sixth for women 40-44, and
Hess, 57, was first for women 55-59, just three seconds ahead of CRR teammate
Barbara Ivey, 55, (49:30), who was second in that age group.
The other CRR team, the men's Masters team (with a combined time
of 1:52:00), had fast times, but was third, behind the Tidewater Striders (1:47:40)
and Team Getem (1:50:16), but ahead (1:59:12). On the CRR team were Jim Bates

Masters, just six seconds behind Dave McDonald. Abrahamson, was second for men
50-54, while Ryan, was fourth for men 45-49.
The 10K was won by two runners in town for the RRCA Convention,
Greg Wenneborg, 34,(32:23) and Lory Gray, 22, (38:27). Other area age-group
award winners included John Piggott (2nd, men 35-39, 34:35) and Dennis Manske

was eighth in the strong men's 40-44 category.
